Regular Sessions

Potters at various levels work on their own projects, at their own pace, under the guidance of a teacher when required. We have a good selection of tools and equipment for students to use during the sessions.

Regular students will have the option to attend monthly Saturday sessions and masterclasses.

The hourly rate equates to £9.60/hour (payable termly in advance) and clay is charged at £7.20/kg.

NB: From January 2027 the hourly rate will rise to £10.50/hour.

This includes all studio materials and two firings. These sessions run on a termly basis – generally 12 to 14 weeks per term.

Hanwell Pottery was essential in getting me started on my ceramics journey. They really helped me grow my skills and learn more about ceramics. This group is all about letting your creative side run wild, which motivated me to pursue a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Ceramics at Morley College.
Stephen

I joined Hanwell Pottery as a beginner in 2022 and found my happy place. I learnt how to work with clay, taught by patient tutors and fellow potters. It’s a wonderful community. Working with clay has lifted a lid on my creativity and the studio is a safe learning space which is filled with conversation and laughter.
